My latest scheme is to create two 6G or 8G partitions for the OS and leave /boot and /home in separate partitions. When there is a number OS upgrade, I copy the OS from the current to the new partition, switch my OS partition via grub (and /etc/fstab), and do the upgrade. This way, it is easy to back out if something goes wrong. Of course, this is not possible if your disk is too small. _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
