I know Gweneth and gave her a box with Ubuntu 8.04 running Gnopernicus
last year. I gave her a KVM switch to togggle between her XP box
running JAWS and the Ubuntu box. She wanted to listen to Thom Hartmann
over the Internet. But the on-line radio station, I found, that offered
dialup streaming was cutting back on dialup service. That's all she can
get at her location (BlueSky wireless was too expensive.)

The radio station I was using, 1480 KPHX, changed their webpage so one
had to use a mouse on screen to activate a widget player for dialup.
That stopped us from doing anything further. I didn't have the
scripting experience to fix that; if it was fixable.

I have a couple of blind friends who I tried to sell on Linux, and they
are game, to a point. Eventually they returned to a windows environment
because they can get help in their community.
