you are attempting to load kernel modules before loading multiboot
kernel.
use the recovery mode of the cd to reinstall grub and fix /boot/grub/
menu.lst
if you want help with it, bring it to the LUG clinic tonight and we'll
walk you through recovery.
whatever you do, don't blindly stab at it with the partition editor,
that way lies lost data.
I was able to correct this with the XP CD, now I have to be able to
get
back to the Ubuntu partition. I have the Ubuntu CD, but it looks
like if
I follow through to try to repair the master boot record, it will
install
Ubuntu over the current Ubuntu partition.
