I don't know what happened but somehow OSU (or at least the OSU Open Source Lab) is a leader in free software. How did they do it? How does one instigate a free software revolution in a college IT department? I may end up following my partner to Corvallis someday. What's the scene like there?

What is special that attracts you to them (rather than some of the other Linuxes). I've been on the list for years. But I live in Corvallis and have only attended one of the Eugene meetings. And alas there were only 2 other attendees that day. Clearly I picked the wrong week. I've been to 1 or 2 of the ITPRO meetings. And will be there tonight. LCC is far from unique.
