I bought a rain8net device from smarthomeusa.com to control the irrigation. It talks RS232 using a rather bizarre protocol. Fortunately I found ruby code somebody wrote that will turn irrigation zones on and off. Now I need two parts: the timing section that calls the ruby code, and the front end that tells the timing section what to do. I am looking for recommendations.
I could write my own timing section. Heck, cron would work. But somebody else may have created something that is more elegant. Ideally the front end would be a web page.
