Sure is quiet around here....
I'm not feeling it with ubuntu anymore. Has anyone dealt with gentoo,
linuxmint or pld?
I'm running AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ @ 2.6
2GB Ram and a decent video card. Sound, Ethernet, etc on an ASUS
m2n mx-se plus motherboard.
Main focus are OpenOffice for school documents, processing photos with
F-stop & Gimp,
playing with seamonkeys, and Stellarium. I used to dig kde and the
myriad wm's Mandrake
got to work on cheap hardware.
We used to have a poll: What Distro Are you?
I want to see what's being used out there besides Ubuntu 10.10 and
(cough) puppy.

Similar use ... standard house/garden stuff with a few fancies ... have
been running Mandrake/Mandriva since the time of RedHat 9 'cause it just
ran better on the laptop I had at the time, and I just stayed with it.
Running Mandriva 2008 right now, waiting to see what happens with Mageia
... wasn't impressed with Mandriva 2009 or 2010 (for my use at any
rate), and if Mageia can get off the ground it may be the way to go for
me ... YMMV. I have been tracking their (Mageia's) progress via their
announce email and they have their boxen nearly up and running, but
nothing yet on their first release.
