SheepShaver for PPC emulation, Basilisk II for 68K emulation. If you want to run 8.5 or newer you need SheepShaver. SheepShaver will run 7.5.2 through 9.0.4 (notably will not run 9.1 or 9.2). Basilisk II will emulate a Classic or a Mac II. Mini vMac is perfect if you want to emulate a Mac Classic. B&W only, OS up to 7.5.5. 512x342 resolution. Basilisk II is perfect for a Mac II / Performa. Flexible resolution, color, OS up to 8.1. SheepShaver is great for PPC--if you need it. Many classic games are 68k, and you are better off emulating 68k directly rather than using Mac OS's 68k emulation on top of a PPC emulator.
