When you boot into the Fedora14 DVD, is that a live Linux DVD?
If so, you can edit the /etc/shadow file to remove your password.
You can then reboot to Fedora14 and login without a password.
Naturally you will want to immediately change your password.

The 3 version of Fedora are probably 3 different kernels.
Or perhaps a kernel plus boot options. You shouldn't have
to delete them.

Subject: [Eug-lug] I upgraded to Fedora 14 - now my password doesn't work

  Hey,

I gave up trying to update my Linux 12 and downloaded a Fedora 14 DVD
from the official site.

I burned this to disc and the Install seemed to be flawless. I chose
upgrade an old system and made dinner.

BUT, on rebooting from new system, I get a screen that has my name...
but my password is unrecognized.

Now I have an old Windows XP on another partition on my laptop... I have
hit escape and dropped into the system choice menu, so my laptop still
can be used.

BUT I see 3 old versions of Fedora 12 as well as 14

SO

How can I make 14 let me in?

and when I can get into 14, I will have to figure out how to delete 2 of
the 3 Fedora 12 cores.

Thanks

DON'T MAKE ME US WINDOWS!
