Good Article! I was the one who questioned the efficiency of the international space effort. I didn't do this as a means of strangling the space program, but because I want it to succeed. I believe that humans are curious, but where curiousity fails, fear and greed lead the way. Fear worked to put men on the moon, and greed worked to colonize the New World, 400 years ago. I suspect that although curiousity may open the door, it will take fear and greed to actually walk through it. Why go? Besides Mallory's reasoning, I believe space development is our best option to continue the human cause: 'further'. We are overcrowded, and going 'insane' as a species because of it -- just look at any inner city, with all its problems. Besides law, my hobby is paleontology, which at its most basic, is the study of how and why humans do what they do, following from what they did a long time ago. Humans evolved to be small group explorers. Our brains remain wired to work as small group explorers. That's space. -- John Harlow Byrne == You are subscribed to the Europa Icepick mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Project information and list (un)subscribe info: http://klx.com/europa/
