Bears attack us when we get between them and something they want, be it our garbage, our picnic baskets or their cubs.

(/snip)

Now I've heard this a couple times that once bears get the taste of human blood, they get the notion that we taste good and are very suitable for consumption. But fortuneatly I don't have any first hand experience from which to draw from. And as far as sharks are concerned we are the true chicken of the sea, but since we tend to be kind of aggressive when attacked (unless we're stupid and try to play dead) they kind of leave us alone. They just don't care mostly. If you bleed, you are food. If you fight back, there's easier pickings else where. But I certainly can't see us being a delicacy. And there are definitely some easier pickings.
