Where is this comment box? Is this the "Any other comments:" field in the 
submission form?

Well, it's possible that the error messages are easy to miss. After all, 
the "This field is required." messages appear by default and they just get 
shown again if you don't fill something out. And omitting the URL scheme 
gives the message "Enter a valid value." above that field, but it doesn't 
really stand out.

As for the confirmation message, I guess it just needs updating for this year.
