folks, hi, as promised i've managed to get pyjamas-desktop to work with python-hulahop as well as pywebkitgtk. the reasons for this are quite simple: apple's intransigence over accepting the glib/gobject bindings to webkit are holding everything up. now, you can do "apt-get install hulahop python-xpcom" and go. i have to add support for XMLHttpRequest event listeners (AJAX) and then i reckon it's pretty much done. i was very surprised at how quickly it was possible to port to XULrunner. if anyone would like to try running the examples or their application as a desktop app then you simply install python-xpcom and hulahop, and then do ../../bin/pyjdrun <myapp>.html and that's it, it should start as a pure python application (not a javascript app in the browser). any issues come and get me, i'm down in the open area near the musical instruments in the cabinets (the area where wireless doesn't work) or just round the corner from there, in the corridor. l. _______________________________________________ EuroPython mailing list EuroPython@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/europython
