To a certain extent this is still possible; it is only somewhat hidden: You can register on the website and the request reviewer status via your profile page. https://ep2014.europython.eu/de/proposals/cfr/ Something the page is currently missing is an explanation how to actually do the review (e.g. where to find the list of talks), but at least signing up as reviewer is possible for everyone registered on the website.
