Hi Matt and all, One thing you need to be aware of is the maximum voltage your drive motor can handle. If I recall correctly, you mentioned using an 8" Advanced DC motor. I have been told by Rod Wilde that the max voltage I could run on my stock 8" was about 156 volts, if I wanted to have trouble free operation. I had been looking into pushing mine past 156, but when Rod said no I dropped the idea.
Arced over motors are no fun at all. See: http://www.geocities.com/evalbum/fireball/fireball.html The 156 volt limit and the available sizes of AGM batteries has really been a bit of a barrier. This was one of the reasons for the interest in the Optima group 31s and other larger AGMs. Thanks, Mike Chancey, '88 Civic EV Kansas City, Missouri EV List Photo Album at: http://evalbum.com My Electric Car at: http://www.geocities.com/electric_honda Mid-America EAA chapter at: http://maeaa.org Join the EV List at: http://www.madkatz.com/ev/evlist.html Matt wrote: >Thanks Victor!
