"Currie "Hi-Koll" motor"
I think this motor was originally designed by Kollmorgan and built in
India.

My scooter also overheats (we have many hills around the house).
Is this due to the windings getting too hot or the control?
Do they have two thermistors or one for sensing temperature?

If they only have one, is it on the stator winding or MOSFET case?

This would be useful information since I plan on using a control with high
current
MOSFETs and a Neodymium rotor as a replacement for my Currie motor.
This won't help however if the stator is the main problem.

Thanks,
Rod

I was involved with an electric bicycle rental company and our "fleet"
consisted of -silver can- Curries.

The overheating and shutting down while attempting to climb hills was a
very
common problem.

It looks like you have had some type of component failure in yours.

Replace the motor with the Currie "Hi-Koll" motor. The overheating and
shutting down issues have been solved and it makes more power, no longer a
silver can, there is now extensive heatsink surrounding the motor.

Hope this helps.
