Perhaps we are. But it is a good kind of insanity. What was that quote
from Ghandi? "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they
fight you, then you win!"

To show you how nutty I am, I have a challenge to the EV community. I
hereby offer a $100 prize for the best hood ornament to promote EVs.

Submit a picture of something you actually built (not just a sketch of a
possible design). The winning design will be placed in the public
domain, so anyone can copy it without licenses or other fees. My goal is
to have something that can be manufactured, so as many people as
possible can use it.

This is just a first draft of the "official" rules. If people like the
idea, we can elaborate. This will especially become necessary if others
want to chip in and provide additional money for the prize.
