Ok.... it is not converted yet, but hopefully will be sometime in the near future. My 1990 Geo Metro's 5 speed manual transmission gave up the ghost while on the Woodburn run from Seattle and (not!) back over the Labor Day weekend. The car is safely stashed at a well known EVer's place in Portland with one or more spun (or destroyed) transmission bearings. So.... I am looking for an available and known good transmission anywhere close to the I-5 corridor between Seattle and Portland. Tenatively planning to "go fix" on the weekend of Sept 21-22. Cheap or free is always good :^D But I am willing to pay a reasonable cost for a known good tranny. Please email me off-list if you know of an available one in my area. Thanks.
