My understanding is that this is rather simple (read: "crude"). If you think you need water, pour some in until it starts running out the bottom of the car. This is due to the inaccessibility of the batteries for normal eyeball inspection and hand filling. It also tends to regularly bathe the racks in battery acid. Nice design!
