Improvement project
PHOENIX - Construction has begun on expansion and
improvements at the Deer Valley Park and Ride at Bell Road
and Interstate 17. The $762,000 project, overseen by the
Phoenix Transit Department, will include expanded parking to
350 spaces, shade canopies for all the parking spaces, new
security cameras and guard stations, an electric vehicle
charging station, bike lockers and chilled drinking
fountains. It is expected to be completed in March. The
expansion project is part of the Phoenix Transit Plan
approved in March 2000 by Phoenix voters.
