My parents went to Hawaii in June. Similarly, my dad did some "research" for work on the EVs of the islands. While on Oahu, they rented a GEMlike NEV which was perfect for touring the island, as small as the entire island is. We're dealing with rather intelligent people in Hawaii! This is shown in the second picture, where they came to realize that Curtis controllers are nothing more than glorified doorstops...
