Hi Tony -

If you simply want the easiest conversion for a someone who's never 
done one before, I would highly recommend an S-10 or similar light 
pickup conversion.  A pickup is designed to take a large load and most 
of the batteries can easily go under the bed.  As Chris Tromley 
mentioned, they are great for first timers.  I did an S-10 using EV 
America's kit last year as a senior in high school and I am very happy 
with it, it gets driven every day.  EV America is a great company to 
work with - they are very knowledgeable about pickup conversions and 
will take the time to give you as much help as you need on your 
conversion.  They also have great prices on components...
