RAYMOR and Mcgill University Sign an Agrement Towards the
Creation of a New Research Center and Pilot Plant

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--RAYMOR Industries Inc. is pleased to
announce that it has signed an agreement (Memorandum of
Understanding) with McGill University in which the objective
is to establish a new research center to further advance
technologies for processing advanced metals such as high
purity lithium metal. McGill University, with this
agreement, confirms its commitment to collaborate with
RAYMOR in its commercializing effort of the patented metal
purification process developed at McGill University for
which Raymor was granted an exclusive worldwide license. The
agreement is now pending the approval of the regulating
authorities of both parties.
Major grant applications are presently under preparation,
which marks an important step towards the establishment of
an industrial pilot plant for lithium metal production. The
lithium metal will be used in lithium-metal-polymer (LMP)
batteries for the telecommunication sector and the electric
vehicle market.
The industrial pilot plant will also include a high
technology laboratory that will study the exploitation of
the patented purification process on high value specialty
metals such as Cesium, Gallium, Germanium, Indium and
Rubidium used in the telecommunication, industrial and micro
electronic technology sectors.
The Raymor metal purification process used for the
production of lithium metal has a clear cost advantage over
the traditional electrolysis process and is entirely safe
for the environment. The Raymor process is also unique since
it allows the recycle of lithium- containing wastes.
