Thanks you guys. I have heard of a guy who goes offroad in his chair using jumper cables and charging both batteries one by one parallel to the starter battery and it wouldnt be too much trouble to wire up something for that. Ive also heard some of the later 24 volt vehicles used a 12 volt alternator then hooked to both batteries in parallel to charge them, but they hooked to the vechicle in series for 24 volts.
Ill check out the converter. I tried looking one and only found these units from jademountain to overclock a fan from 12-24 volts. I have a unit from radioshack plugged into my charger port to convert teh 24 volts to 12 for using automotive accessories like a fan, lamp, heating pad and inverter.
