Energy Conversion Technologies Inc. in production for
GM-6115 motor system Monday September 30, 5:46 pm ET
MARKHAM, ON, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Ervin Weisz, President of
Energy Conversion Technologies Inc. is pleased to
announce that ECTI has started shipments of its GM-6115
Axial Electric Gearmotor and Control system in connection
with the previously announced $910,000 order from a
well-known and established original equipment manufacturer
(OEM). The GM-6115 Electric Gearmotor and Control system had
been tested by the customer for over 1,000,000 cycles of
operation representing in excess of seven years of operation
in actual usage. The customer is extremely pleased with the
quality and performance of the newly delivered production
units. ECTI has continuing production requirements from this
customer.
About ECTI
ECTI has commenced the commercialization of its electric
motor transmission technology. This technology can: reduce
both capital and operating costs of motor systems by
decreasing the motor and electronics' weight and energy
consumption; increase the operating time for battery, hybrid
electric vehicle motor applications;
and make it possible to use smaller batteries
to meet operating requirements. These efficiencies are
realized through ECTI's technology which consists of a
proprietary electric motor, proprietary electronic
controller and proprietary algorithmic software. ECTI motors
can be combined as a group of small, low- cost motors,
working together to form large powerful motor modules,
through ECTI's proprietary, high-speed network for power
sharing and data communications. Market opportunities for
industrial, automotive and battery- powered applications
have been identified with prospective OEM's that represent
significant sales opportunities. ECTI is now in production
to meet sales obligations.
