Get some EV publicity out of it - get a journo to go with you and make a segment for 60 Minutes or something for Discovery channel. The line would be something like "driving all the way across the country without going near a gas station" or preferably something a bit snappier. Add up how many kWh it takes compared to how many gallons for the support car.
