For this reason the components used in TWIKE came directly from Industrial and car -construction, f.i. NiCd cells from the full-automatic Mass-production from SANYO and a robust Ansynchronmotor which is already used in industral Applications. The drive-train uses motorbike componenten (KONI-shock-absorber) and for the Karosserie they use a special light but shock resistant Kunstmaterial (Luran S) from BASF . The stable chassis is from extruded Aluminium-profiles and gives a very strong protection allround during collisions. Two versions: 1. TWIKE "active". : this basic form in which the driver and passenger pedal with the engine (for sportive people only). Included speedcontrol Tempomat, Cabrio top, easy Joystick for direction give more pleasure for the driver. Plexiglass front shield, 3-Point-Security belts,disk-brakes,back return and mist-lights gives supplementary security. An intelligent Board-computer follows eveything. 2. TWIKE EASY: identic but with other seates and no pedals.
