Ok, I guess you're right. This is an acceptable language issue, not the
usual reporter "simplification".

Now, now boys, let's not be snarky, and play nice.
I am sure the evdl has Russian speaking lurkers, and I would not like to
raise their ire but encourage them to speak out as to the status of
plugins in Russia or in neighboring countries.

I get mistakes/typos like those from newswires from non-English speaking
countries, and especially when the translator is unfamiliar with
plugins. But give them time, it will all come around full circle.

I am glad to get a newswire in English from Russia. They have not caught
on like China has that feeding newswires in proper English drives
investment$.

I troll the non-English newswires, and use an online translator to see
if the form of English I am given is usable to post. And I have posted a
few of these in the past. Even with the high caliber translators, there
is always something lost in the translation-effort.

As those that follow my newsiwre posts, I try to give a world view along
with the now few tasty tidbits I get that apply to N. America. I feel it
is good to know what our neighbor plugin drivers are doing. The sharing
of ideas has always led to improvements/advances (this is the good
application of Internet use).

It looks like AvtoVAZ is moving forward and 'are' producing Electric
Lada's (they sell ice versions too).
So little info comes our way about what is happening there, even the
Wikipedia listing now seems out of date
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AvtoVAZ

I too am sometimes caught up with misprints and wording errors. What was
originally touted as Russia's plugin series hybrid, the Yo-mobile ё, now
seems to be a non-plugin hybrid, and it won't be available to the buying
public until 2015.
[OT warning, take OT discussions offline quickly
But it still does one better than the GM Volt, it can run either off
petrol or CNG, something that should be developed in N. America.
