Good to hear from you, Gail. I knew we could count on you for a real drivers-seat opinion of the Citicar. :-)

I would describe the CitiCar as being a lot like a Ford model T. It's a car with a lot of history, and a lot of personality. If you'd be happy driving a model T, you'd be happy with a CitiCar. Both just provide the absolute basics needed to get you from point A to point B. They are certainly not the palace-on-wheels that modern cars have become. But it beats riding a motorcycle in the rain. :-)

Both are *extremely* simple; so simple that almost anything can be fixed, usually at low cost and with only simple tools and skills. But people aren't used to fixing anything any more. Today's mechanics simply replace entire subassemblies. This only works if exact replacement assemblies are available. But that's not a practical way to fix old cars in general, or for the CitiCar in particular.
