I can get you closer, but not quite there. I believe the magic number relates to the placement of the flywheel hub relative to the mating face of the adapter. It ensures the clutch actuation linkage works properly. I'm not sure exactly what surfaces it references, but anyone with Mike Brown's book can look it up.
