In October of 1997 when Honda made the EVPlus available at a dealer in
Silicon Valley, I called and left a message for the saleman that I was
"interested in leasing the EVPlus electric car and would like to come in
tonight to sign the paperwork." We exchanged a few messages to make an
appointment. When I showed up that night, I had to listen to a 45 minute
speech about the lifestyle changes I would have to make to accomodate the
limited range of the electric car. I leased on anyway.

The only lifestyle change I had to make was not stopping for gas anymore
(at least until they took the car back six years later). Now with my 2011
Leaf with 21,000+ miles I've had to make the same lifestyle changes again.
Honestly, I can't understand why anybody would want to stop for gas.
