Sounds kind of creepy, no?  :-\

At first glance I thought this resulted when one of our members signed up 
for a social media service and let them harvest names from his computer.  
(By the way, please don't do that.  They spam all of us, and nag us to sign 
up.  It's really annoying.)

On closer examination it turns out to be some kind of adware / tracking 
deal.

I'd recommend against following the links, and suggest that you just delete 
the message.  I've configured the list's spam filter to block further 
messages like this one.
