I wish I could get my serial communication problem solved, I currently can't talk to the hairball at all.

Sounds like your Hairball is damaged. I killed mine once. It would communicate intermittently, then stopped talking at all. Do you have relay anti-kickback (snubber, flyback) diodes across your 12V relays as Roland suggested? When mine died it was the serial comms and precharge that failed. Apparently they share a driver IC that I somehow killed via the precharge circuitry.

I have an LED dome light in my car, so if I forget to put a diode across a relay's terminals I'll see the LED flash at night when the relay turns off.

I have check my throttle resistance It is 400 ohms to 5,200 I checked that is within spec. At 2,000 ohms I get a bit of drop out but nowhere else in the throw.
Maybe I should replace the pot?

You can always put a jumper lead across the pot and see if your vehicle starts.

I don't believe that I should have updated my profile while the car is in go mode, I noticed that it kicks off its contactor when a new profile is sent (this was while charging)

OK. You mentioned updating BMS. Didn't know you were talking about setting Zilla parameters. Don't know if this has anything to do with your problem or not.

Adrian
