With the discussion of ev conversions I wanted to share one of mine:
http://www.evalbum.com/2861 at 7700 lbs it is not your standard conversion
but is reasonably efficent costing about 10 cents per mile, partly due to good
re-gen, due to the Saft Stm180 6v Nicads weighing only 50 lbs the pack weighs
just over 1800 lbs. I agree conversions arn't for everyone but they do provide
