I have never seen the 2 stored units, but they did not treat the demo
unit at their store very well. It was charged through a long extension
cord, which was explicitly not allowed by Vectrix, the result was that
the charger was dead - I was able to bring the pack to enough voltage
that the bike *should* have started charging, but the charger is dead. I
have no idea if the bike works, because I ran out of time and could only
button everything back up and never got around to look at it again. It
cannot be re-titled and therefor it can only be a parts bike for the
other two (or other Vectrix).
Many Vectrix owners have felt the need to upgrade to Lithium and/or to
limit their driving to a much shorter range (or lower speeds) than the
Vectrix claims, due to the discrepancy between the NiMH pack specs and
the abuse that the Vectrix unleashes upon the pack (exceeding max
discharge by 3 times!!!) besides allowing too fast and too hot
re-charging which typically blows up a cell or two within 10% of
expected lifetime...

Just some limitations of this otherwise interesting bike - I am still
considering to get one cheap some day, after getting a motorbike
license. But it is certainly not as practical as having a regular
bicycle (electric or not) or my EV truck.

These orphans are great vehicles. Reviving the batteries is the trick.
