I wonder why the Edison 2 VLC is not catching the auto industry attention? I rode 30 plus miles in this car (Oliver Kuttner was driving). It is a real 4 passenger car with room for luggage too. The 10kwh battery is good for about 100 miles - or 100wh per mile. Why? - because it weighs about 1200 pounds (with the battery) and has a drag coefficient of 0.16 (compared withe about 0.29 or 0.30 for a Prius).
OH well... it will happen. I'm thinking it's slow to be accepted because it's in-wheel architecture and outrigger wheel pods so very radically different than anything people are use to. The 2020 emission standards will speed up its acceptance. IMHO. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-lightweighting-vehicles-for-better-range-mpge-in-10yrs-tp4663366p4663367.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
