Hi Jay, no you cannot remove the OEM VCL programming, but I can and do everyday. I currently have many of the 1238-6501 NEW controllers on EBAY that have been re-flashed with EV car operating system and then programmed for the AC-31 which you have. If you email me at [email protected] I will tell you the procedure for getting it done. I can also provide the modification to the AC-31 motor that you will need if installing in a EV conversion.
