I see very few postings about advancements in battery technology.
Hey Peri,

I don't know about Bruce's reasons but I see several announcements a week about new discoveries in battery technology including carbon nano-tubes, graphene, graphane, new magnesium/aluminum/nickel/… chemistries, and other stuff. Usually promising 2/5/10/100 X the current capacity or something.

The lead time and difficulties in bringing a new technology to market are long, and most of these announced technolgies are never heard from again.

Most members of the list have probably been de-sensitized to battery announcements over the years because of this.

I only post about a new cell type if I think that the list hasn't heard about it before, and it is actually possible to order cells for delivery *right now*. I can't remember the last time that happened.
