Damn. If it had been the DeLorean, I might have jumped on it.
Several years back when Tilley was going to do his big PR stunt with the DeLorean driving
something like 500 miles on a single charge (thanks to his little magic black box), I got
a call from an auto writer down in the area who wondered if it could be legit. I told him
my bet was that the car would go no more than 50 miles before stopping. Amazingly (!) it
had a "wheel bearing failure" that caused them to cut the demo short below 50 miles
traveled. And somehow, they never ever finished up the demo after that. Makes me wonder
what guys like Tilley are thinking -- there is no way a couple little fans mounted on the
front of the car will ever generate enough power for near-perpetual motion, no matter what
they're hooked to -- and he had to know this, so why expose yourself like that, unless
you're trying to appeal to some gullible people with money out there who wish it could be
true and feel sorry for you when something unrelated to your magic tech causes failure...
I'd LOVE to see what's inside the "TEV controller" -- his magic black box!
Resistor-capacitor network? :-)

I am thinking the way it is currently setup, even with a new set of
batteries, it would only get 20 miles range, 15 safely, and with daily
use, the pack would need to be replaced at best once a year. I would
definitely plan changing the pack configuration to use better batteries.
And I would change the charging so the EV could use your local public
j1772 L2 6kW infrastructure.

This is a moldy oldy.
Do you remember the Tilley electric car that had batteries that gave
incredible miles?
Well one of his creations is on Ebay.
