Hi ,
I'm driving my EV again after much thrashing around trying to solve the
resonant frequency of the rotor-squealing. The anti squeal shims fixed the
rotor squealing problem. They’re part number 9500-4 by SBS (Scandinavian Brake
Systems) stock #1702-0033. You cut to size & peal,stick them on the back of
the pads. I also chamfered 1/8” 45 degree on the 4 sides of the pads per Samba
recommendations and with an abrasive pad put swirls on the rotor both sides. I
used high-temp grease on the pads edges (did all this stuff before too but
still squealed like a stuck pig). So I think the stick on pads did it.
The Impulse 9" is showing noi wear on the brushes/comm after fixing the brush
rigging (& timing set to neutral).
