Lee I'm surprised you would say using less cells when you probably meant to say
less amp hours. If you want 144vdc you are stuck with 45 cells. The only
option to reduce weight is amp hours. To save money I might go 60ah cells.
But then range is reduced. Maybe the goal should be to get the car back to
stock weight and let that be your amp hour size of battery. Use what ever size
of battery will get that weight. You could then improve and perfect car
balance by placing the batteries in optimal positions for handling. Lawrence
