Thank you everyone for all of the advice. I carefully tore the pump down, cleaned and sealed what I could, and put it all back together. It's a fairly simple design - and although MES-DEA can customize the hysteresis, there's nothing on the circuit board that can be adjusted. BIG motor, small circuit board with heavy conformal coating, diaphragm pump with check valve that's almost identical to a breast pump. The insides are dead simple. Good for longevity!

I ended up purchasing a $20 adjustable pressure sensor, setting it to cut out just before the pump's internal sensor. It cycles more often than it used to, but it turns on/off cleanly now instead of "flickering" or short cycling. I had to replace the master cylinder last year - which also caused more frequent cycling...
