My Link10 is going through a reset at random times when the inverter is switched to drive. I've looked down to see the display switched to blinking volts more than once. This never happens when I'm discharging the pack with the load bucket. The system is turned on to drive when I'm using the load bucket, but the drive is not active, switched to park. I've caught it in the act of resetting twice now that I know to pay attention. It will be displaying the current AH reading, then I switch to 'D', when suddenly all the Emeter front panel display goes dark and then returns to blinking volts, like a power failure. The Emeter is powered by an isolated DC/DC converter. This is an old electricar S10 with a new RMS PM100 drive inverter. The only thing I can think of is that the inputs to the prescaler are different lengths and don't run next to each other for about 1 foot. I'm thinking that I'll reroute the short wire to follow the long one exactly to reduce the loop width, but it is a high voltage prescaler so I wasn't anticipating too much noise would make it through at a magnitude great enough to cause this sort of problem. The current shunt wires are twisted together from the shunt until they reach the Deutch connector, along with the voltage sense wires. The other side of the Deutch connector is shielded cable going back to the dash.
Since the front panel says Link10, I'm thinking that it should have the EV filter already installed. Has anyone added extra filtering to mitigate noise getting into the Emeter? thanks, Paul Wallace still working on the S10 _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
