Happened to me when using dedicated bipolar supply from DCP DCDC converter.
When I switched to Belktronix' high voltage (ie traction pack) adapter supply, 
the issue was gone.
Might've gotten the issue to go away by better calibration of the old DCDC, but 
I'm happy about the inexpensive solution I used.
