Did one better than that. Here in Montana we use to have a unlimited speed
limit which depends on what type of vehicle you where driving and can do it
safety. But in the 75's the fed made us put on a speed limit of 55 mph, so our
state wrote a one page law which I kept a copy in my car.

It states a vehicle shall drive a maximum of 55 mph that uses a limited fuel
resources. Everybody still drove over 55 mph and if they got stop, all they had
to do is pay $5.00 to the patrol and there was no limit on how many times a
person did this.

So one day, I was driving down a mountain road from the airport which is place
on top of a flat top hill with my EV call Transformer I that has a GE-11 motor
which is the same frame as a WarP-11 which Net Gain said they pattern after.
Uses 90 each 300 ah 2.2 volt lead cobalt cells which the batteries themselves
weigh 2700 lbs. Could actually run up this hill hitting the base of the hill
at 75 mph and would slow down to the exit which was set at 35 mph.

It was a 5 mile drive from my house up hill to work. The first 3 miles was a
slight up hill and the last 2 miles was very steep to the top. Coming down the
entry road to the highway, I could let up on the accelerator and the EV would
get up to 85 mph. A co-worker with a Corvette would past me like I was
standing still.

I could could coast all the way to my exit for 3 miles which was a slight up
hill, turn right and down hill and up hill again and turning right to my down
hill street right into my garage.

So one day I saw a highway patrol coming up at me on my down hill run and I let
the EV roll to a stop applying my brakes which wasted 3 miles of inertial and
extra charging time at home.

When I roll down my window, I said "Not Guilty". He said I was going over the
55 mph speed limit, I said "I Know". I pull out the state law which was right
on bright orange paper with large black letters, stating a vehicle that uses a
limited resource cannot go over 55 mph. I said my vehicle does not use the
limited resource, so my vehicle can go up to the speed limit set prior to this
law.

I said, pointing down to the Missouri River that goes through the first hydro
dam out of five dams in this area. This river has been flowing even before
Lewis and Clark got here. As long as the earth rotates and the sun evaporates
the ocean waters, falling as rain on the Rocky Mountains forming a river
through a hydro dam, I will have a unlimited resource.

I then open up the hood of the EV to show him I do not use a limited resource
to run this vehicle. I also said, when you stop me going down this hill, I
lost miles of inertial energy which will cause me to spend more energy charging
this vehicle.

I did not get a ticket!!

One of the downsides of driving something unusual, I suppose. I was
actually pulled over one night because a curious cop just wanted a closer
  look at my Comuta-car.

It's hard to believe, I know. A C-car sure isn't a Tesla. But it happened.
