When I saw this, it pulled up memories of the first Tesla, and pre-Leaf
days, when there were overunity (trying to get more energy out than what was
going in) newswires everyday.

I thought the media had gotten wise to that, especially this media outlet,
but no (or perhaps they let it out because it would stire up discussions
selling ad space?).

I post this as a laugh/chuckle, and no one should even spend any time
discussing overunity silliness.

On the serious side, here is an UK L3 EVSE newswire where the grid is
suplemented by wind generated electrical power.

QUICK-CHARGING: Electric vehicle users can now re-fuel their car in 20 to 30
minutes at Pease Pottage services
]

ELECTRIC vehicle users can now confidently hit the open road for a motorway
drive after a free charging point was installed off the M23.

A charging point, powered with 100 per cent renewable energy from the wind
and sun, is now operating from the Pease Pottage services.

Electric cars can re-fuel in 20 to 30 minutes or about the time it takes to
have a refreshment break mid-drive.

Other existing motorway charging points, known as the Electric Highway, can
also be found at Reading services, Fleet services, Chieveley services,
Membury services and Winchester services in the south.

Rownhams services on the M3 at Southampton is due to have a [quick]-charger,
set up by Ecotricity, installed later this month.

The Electric Highway now covers 50 per cent of Britain's motorway services
and this is set to pass 90 per cent by the Spring.

Dale Vince, Ecotricity founder, Most people with electric cars simply
re-charge at home overnight, which provides enough range for 95% of car
journeys.

“It's only on the longer journeys where charge points are really needed –
and that means service stations on motorways. By installing [quick]-chargers
at normal re-fuelling locations we are solving the problem of range anxiety
and charging times in one go.
