1970 VW was the first to be converted to Li-ion cobalt using 8,400, 18650 cells, for a 36kw pack in 2005. Pack later sold to Tesla, but car retains a image of being the first. Now for sale on ebay 181305274523 using a different battery pack (CALB) with a 5 star restoration unlike any VW. Using the famous "CRUISIN" brake pedal (pat applied for) assembly for regeneration, the quality of this car cannot be overlooked. Too many features to list here, so contact seller for details.
