Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) February 13, 2014

Seattle based company, Current Drives LLC, has created the first ever
universal electric motor kit for the stand-up paddle board, longboards, and
kayaks called the ElectraFin which can transform a normal board or kayak
into an electric powered one, and is now available on their Indiegogo page
for purchase.

Last week, Current Drives LLC launched the ElectraFin and their inflatable
paddle board for pre-purchase orders. The 60-day Indiegogo campaign is
offering up to $600 off retail prices for the ElectraFin and inflatable
stand-up paddle boards to early supporters.

President of Current Drives LLC and inventor of the ElectraFin, Michael
Radenbaugh, developed the electric powered fin after he saw a gap in the
market for an affordable electric conversion kit for stand up paddle boards
and kayaks.

“I wanted to build a low cost and universal electric conversion kit to make
any personal watercraft into an electric vehicle,” said Radenbaugh.

The ElectraFin installs in under one minute on most boards and kayaks and is
controlled with a wireless remote connected to user’s wrist or paddle. The
high efficiency electric motor propels kayakers and paddlers for six hours
on a single charge allowing users to go further, explore more, fight against
the current and wind, or bring a friend along for the ride.

Current Drives is offering a unique crowdfunding perk for outdoor recreation
equipment shops that want to retail their new product once it releases in
Summer 2014. By pre-purchasing on the Current Drives’ Indiegogo campaign at

dealers will be able to lock in their exclusive sales territories.

and started to explore the possibilities of bringing clean, quiet, and fun
electric drive systems to the water sports market.
