Batpod jr - experimental electric vehicle
eE48v· Jul 1, 2013
An experimental Batpod inspired vehicle with Alltrax AXE 4844 controller
running Mars ME0709 electric motor. This is designed and built specially for
my two 10 and 12 year old kids. Battery pack consists of 4 lead-acid car
batteries giving maximum of 50 volts and top speed is set to around 60km/h
(37mph).

The rattling noise comes from the front sprocket as it is very small. I am
considering to replace the chain with a belt drive to make it completely
silent.

Batpod jr - experimental electric vehicle / winter tests
eE48v· Jul 5, 2013
Here is some earlier winter footage of the Batpod jr. In the first tests it
is missing the breaks (rear break actually) and the seat but it did not stop
us having some fun. Some finishing touches on the paintwork is missing as
well.

The beast actually turned out to be much more nimble than we anticipated.
The big wheels work really well on snowy conditions.

There’s already a lot of responsibilities in being a parent. You gotta make
sure your kids are fed. Make sure they bathe. Make sure they’re safe. And
make sure they don’t become a menace to society. There’s only one
requirement in becoming an awesome parent though and it’s this: build your
kids an awesome Batpod motorcycle they can ride around.

YouTube user eE48v made what he calls an “experimental electric vehicle” for
his sons and it’s a super sweet mini Batpod. He writes:

... video of his kids zooming down the street. My God, it looks so fun.
