Hi Steve and All, Thanks for the kind words. I went through a rough health, money patch but coming out of it with building a series of Lumberghini's to sell and maybe as a plans item where anyone could make a very low cost EV that costs little to run. Currently building the new version of the E Woody wood/epoxy body/chassis sportswagon, putting the finishing touches on the chassis, rollcage before adding the clear finished mahogany ply body sides, roof should blow most people's minds. Then my next one is 1 wheel in front aerocabin trike that is you only need 45-50mph can use a golfcart transaxle likely I'll do as a plans unit and sell the front suspension, near everything else from a dead golfcart, home depot or Auto-Zone, etc. I've been amazed how well golfcart transaxles have worked for road EV's, never had one burn up yet, just goes and goes. I have an 80 Commuta CarEV that Capt Tony charged with solar panels on the roof in Key West use to drive if I can't sell it soon I'll borrow it's transaxle to get about 70mph. The solar charging worked because you couldn't go over 4 miles on the island!! If anyone wants it let me know as I just got it to make sure it gets rebuilt.
Congrat on you and Audrey getting hitched. After watching her install the Cycle Analyst vid she's a keeper. Crystal River is a rather beautiful place with some of the best fresh and salt water fishing, diving, especially snorkeling , etc. It's about 70 miles, I'm just east of Tampa Bay. I have a good friend there so I'll drop by once the Lumberghini is on the road next month. As soon as I sell my place I'll be moving closer, to downtown St Pete on my solar power 34' trimaran because there is so much better job shops that I need to get my things going. Jerry came on said a few little words about the trash talk and then went on to answer the guys question about nicad flooded batteries. I was so impressed with the way you handled the whole thing I still remember it today. I hope all is going well with you. I am now on the Gulf Coast of Florida, maybe closer to you than I was before. For those relatively new to the list, Jerry had made an EV from golf cart parts and was getting some surprisingly good results for a very low budget. It was called the "Wood-E". I'm looking forward to someday building a "Wood-E" for Audrey. Audrey and I will be Married on 7/11/2014. I'd like to invite all ev'ers to come to the Wedding being held at our home in Crystal River, FL @7 PM. bring your EV, plenty of parking and charging.! -- Steve & Audrey Your Green Shed Team 772-971-0533 Merging the BEST of the PAST with the best of the FUTURE.
