If you receive a message with a subject that contains the word "confirm" with a long string of gibberish after it, and in the body of the message says "Your membership in the mailing list ev has been disabled due to excessive bounces ..."
Congratulations! You're the latest victim of the DMARC lunacy I've been writing about for the past several days. This means that some EVDL messages aren't reaching you, but are bouncing back to the list server instead. The message contains instructions about how to re-enable your mail delivery. However, at the moment, you don't need to do this. The listserver tells me when your email is suspended. I'll re-enable your mail delivery manually (but only if it was shut down by excessive bounces, not if you disabled it yourself). So you can just delete the message and carry on. I've also reduced the sensitivity of the bounce processor, so it will be less likely to suspend your account this way. Again, my apologies for all this insanity. I'm still working on the problem, and hope to have the glitches de-glitched later this week.
